Admissions Post-RN BScN, Generic BSN and Speciality Diploma

Post Graduate College of Nursing, Provincial Health Services Academy (PHSA), under Health Departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced admissions in Post-RN BScN, Generic BSN and Post-Basic Speciality Nursing Diploma programmes. Admissions will be done through National Testing Service (NTS). The eligibility criteria for each programme are given below.

Post-RN BScN (2 Years)

Basic Academic Requirements:

  1. Metric with science (including biology) as HEC requirements
  2. Diploma in Nursing
  3. Diploma in Midwifery (any Post Basic Specialty for male in lieu of midwifery)

General Eligibility:

  1. Experience: 2 years clinical experience Certificate (Post experience of midWifery/speciality)
  2. PNC Registration: Valid registration with all entries of professional qualifications
  3. Gender Ratio: Female 50% and Male 50%
  4. N0C from DGHS KP
  5. Age limits: 19-45 years at the time of closing date of application
  6. Domicile: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa/FATA only

Merit Compilation and weightage formula:

50%  Entry Test Marks through National Testing Services (NTS) Pakistan + 25% General Nursing Diploma + 25%  Midwifery diploma (for Female) or any speciality diploma (for male in lieu of Midwifery)

Generic BSN (4 years)

Basic Academic Requirements:

F.Sc (Pre-Medical) With 50% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects)

General Eligibility:

  1. Age limits: 17-25 years at the time of closing date of applications
  2. Genders: both male and female (Ratio: Females 90% and Males 10%
  3. Domicile: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa / FATA only

Merit compilation and weightage formula:

50 %  Entry Test Marks through National Testing Services (NTS) Pakistan + 40%  Higher Secondary School Certificate (FSc Pre-Medical) or equivalent qualification + 10 % to Matric (Science with biology) for first division at least 60% marks

Post-Basic Speciality Diploma (1Year)

Disciplines: ICU, CCU, Psychiatric Nursing, Pediatrics Nursing and Operation Theater Nursing (Both Private and public sector candidates can apply)

Nursing Basic Academic Requirements:

  1. Diploma in General Nursing registered with PNC

General Eligibility:

  1. Valid registration with Pakistan Nursing Council (with all entries of professional qualifications)
  2. Age limits: 19-45 years at the time of the closing date of application
  3. Genders: both male and female
  4. Domicile: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa/ FATA only
  5. In-service candidate shall apply through proper channel

50% entry test marks of NTS +50% General Nursing Diploma registered with PNC

Note: Candidates, not relieve from their duties will not be preferred for Post-RN BScN and Post Basic Speciality Diploma programmes

 

How to Apply

  1. Application form and prospectus are available on any of the websites www.nts.org.pk and/or www.phsa.edu.pk and/or www.healthkp.gov.pk
  2. NTS will charge Rs.550/per application as test processing fee that can be submitted through prescribed fee slip in any online branch of HBL, MBL, ABL, and MCB, forms should be submitted to NTS Headquarter, Islamabad.
  3. Form should be carefully filled by the candidate because the provided information will be considered as final for further processing
  4. Candidates must provide all DMCs of relevant Diplomas and Certificates

    Last Date to apply

    The last date for submission of application to NTS is 05 September 2017
